Cryptologic are one of the oldest slot developers who originated in Canada and are based in Ireland. They powered the oldest current casino Intercasino which was established in 1996 and they originally provided the Marvel and DC Comics slots before Playtech acquired a license for them too. William Hill used to offer their games too. After difficulties arising from tough new regulation in the USA market and legal battles with Playtech over the Marvel License, their fellow Canadians Amaya bought them out in 2012.
