Ainsworth

Ainsworth Gaming Technology are actually born from Aristocrat who were founded back in the 1950’s by Les Ainsworth and made their first slot machine in 1953. Based in Sydney they are second largest slots developer after American IGT although now IGT are part of a UK-listed holding company. Why do I mention Aristocrat? Because Les Ainsworth left that company and is now in charge of a more recent venture which bears his name, Ainsworth Game Technology. They specialize in online games with their distinctive ‘trotting’ sounds on the reels and jingle when wins come in, you may have played some already. They are licensed to be offered in UK and European-facing online casinos and famous titles include the King Strike series and Thundercash and Stormin’ 7’s.

Ainsworth slots have a very distinctive format usually and tend to offer RTP figures in the 93.5-94.5% range, somewhat lower than many other developers but with less onus on the proportion of the RTP allocated to the free games or features, so their base games tend to play quite well and maintain balances well. The games seem to be intentionally different to Aristocrat formats and math models, although with the recent Thunderhorn-style Legends Of New York slot this may be changing.
